Our Mr Kilgore has started a ratline here, an average size 4 rope- the loom jig is built to do the ratlines for both sides of the ship at once so they match perfectly. When he's finished with the knots, he'll paint it with a fairly thick black/tar color, we've discovered this method looks most realistic. This tool is 10 3/4" tall & 7 3/4" wide, and comes with 30 turned brass pegs, so you can make the most complicated lines:
